A MAILBOX FOR KRISHNA!

I think we should have a mailbox for Krishna! Just like they have mailboxes for Santa Clause, we should have a mailbox for Krishna in Los Angeles. Letters can be addressed to Lord Krishna c/o ISKCON Los Angeles if they are willing to do it, since that is the world headquarters. If not, maybe someone else could do it. Then the address can be given out at Krishna.com to little children devotees. And every month if they want a letter the kids or parents have to send a sase inside another letter. They can donate extra if they like to help pay for the printing and it might not get very big. If it does we will have to ask for extra stamps or a dollar a year ahead of time or something.

Whoever gets the letters can read them and write a personal little message on the monthly newsletter and maybe have different letters for different age groups. But I don't know if it would be a good idea after all because when the children find out they aren't really getting letters from Krishna they are going to be disappointed.

I've always considered the whole Santa Claus thing somewhat deceitful to children. I'm not sure if a Krishna box would be any different. I guess if they were clear as to what the intentions of the e-mail were and who, in fact, the messages were coming from it would be alright. Just my opinion.

    Hare Krishna

You are writing this on the assumption that there are qualified Brahmins to answer such letters. There are not. Better to save yet more heartache and confusion and simply reccomend the sincere chanting of HARE KRISHNA 16 rounds per day. Questions can be asked but without the misleading element that "Krishna" is reading and responding written mails.

I think you are right~ it is important not to make assumptions. And I think that if we believe in our hearts that Srila Prabhupada was sent to us by Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna himself, we should consider the fact that he can make anything possible. I'm not sure where I heard it, but I believe there was a promise that Krsna would keep a representative here for us at all times. He had sent our most worshipable Bhaktivinoda Thakura, and immediately following in his lotus footsteps, our beloved Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, who was the Guru of our Srila Prabhupada.

Right now we also have a mahabhagavat on planet earth, and his name is Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja, so beloved to our Srila Prabhupada. We can ask him any question that comes into our hearts, and as he is an eternal associate of Sri Sri Radha Krsna in Goloka Vrndavana, he can easily give us the truth if he feels we are qualified to receive it. You can't send anything to his mailbox per say, since he is always travelling here and there sprinkling his kindly mercy to all, but you can reach him online at swamibvnarayan@gmail.com

Also, please see his transcendental site for a large variety of free ebooks and all sorts of wonderful things: www.purebhakti.com/
